I am overly amused by this clip, having watched it repeatedly for the past 10mins. Maybe it's because I had no idea that Brits listened to "NWA." Or the fact that the father in the clip does his own live edited version of the song adding in words as "biscuits," "bobby," and "selling bits of chocolate." I doubt anyone would believe me if I said that in my younger days, I was known to play the unedited version of this song overly loud in my car and sing along.
Was just given word that my background check cleared so I am now officially hired. If I wasn't feeling so bad I would totally be doing backflips right now. And...that small problem of not being able to do backflips. But if I could, it would totally be something I would be doing right now.
Will explain more when I'm feeling up to it.

This past week has been a bit crazy because my brother decided to punch his bedroom door after witnessing the final few minutes of the Kentucky v. Vanderbilt game. Kentucky never trailed until the final 25 seconds of the game. This marked Kentucky's 4th loss out of the past 5 games. The state of Kentucky lives and breathes University of Kentucky basketball. We plan our days around games. Even during the SEC Tournament, schools often stop classes so that everyone can watch the game...during school time of course.
Needless to say, the door didn't like being punched and my brother ended up with a broken right hand. He just got back home from surgery and is in quite a bit of pain. The block didn't work. The blessing in all of this is that the hand surgeon didn't have to turn my brother's hand into shrapnel. After the initial set of X-rays, talks of permanent screws and metal plates were discussed. The CAT scan however revealed that, while my brother had many fractures, the bones were still lined up straight and all would be needed was a few pins to hold them in place for a few weeks.
My brother is in college and none of his professor's gave him a break. He has to go to class tomorrow, not even 24hrs. after surgery because if he misses his English class, he loses 10% of his final grade. We got a huge laugh last night because he had to finish his peer review in preparation for Wednesday's class. If I could post parts of it I would. Let's just say that this person's thesis was based on two Langston Hughes poems and they decided that "All black people go to hell." Then concludes the paper (not exact words), "There isn't anything specifically saying that all black people go to hell based on the two poems just that he doesn't mention white people." I laughed until tears ran down my checks.
I had a bad night. I am so confused and lost. I have no idea what is going on. When I finally fell asleep I kept dreaming about a dog following me around and biting my hand. According to the dream dictionary, based on the different aspects of the individuals dream, a dog most often represents a male figure. Then "to dream that you are being bitten, represents your vulnerability regarding your unresolved emotions." I take all of this to mean that these unresolved emotions aren't going away anytime soon because the dog is going to keep following and biting to remind me that I'm going to have to deal with them sometime.
